Dollar AS menguat terhadap sekumpulan mata uang utama setelah pemimpin Korea Utar menunda keputusan untuk menembakkan rudal ke Guam. Faktor lain yang juga membantu greenback adalah data penjualan ritel AS yang mencatatkan kenaikan terbesar dalam tujuh bulan di bulan Juli.Sementara itu di hari yang sama harga minyak memperpanjang aksi jual yang berat, terbebani oleh dolar AS yang lebih kuat dan tanda-tanda melemahnya permintaan di China. Harga minyak mentah AS turun 0,53% menjadi $47,34 per barel.
